The “Golfing Gateway to the Dales” was formed in 1894 and now plays to a demanding 6580 yards par 72.   The club continues to grow and has become a regular venue for prestigious regional events competitions and is a challenging course suitable for all levels of golfers.

The club offers a full golfing calendar which includes club competitions including the Claret Jug, Club Championship, a range of Ladies and Juniors competitions as well as a very successful Winter League which boasts over 100 mixed players every 2/3 weeks competing for a highly valued trophy. The club has a comfortable and friendly clubhouse with a bar serving snacks or a full menu in the dining room. The club also boasts a new Swing Studio which has proven to be a great success.

Michael Greenwood, Golf Development Manager at the club said that “the club were looking at a way to welcome visitors and societies to the club and to make them feel special. This together with the pure communication element meant that the EGT system looked ideal. The partnership with EGT fulfils this requirement along with expanding the Bedale GC name through new sponsorship and the network of contacts available to us through partnering with EGT.”

“The tech enables us to maximise the visitor/society experience and opens the opportunity for a more corporate and special feel when needed. I understand the app can be used by members also, which will also be very helpful for internal comps/live leaderboards etc.”

European Golf Tech’s Jason Smith expressed his delight about the agreement stating that “we are honoured to help Bedale GC achieve those objectives and help the club to continue to grow and be the number one golfing destination in that area whilst also providing benefits for the club’s members. Bedale is a forward-thinking club who are embracing this technology in order to provide an excellent golfing experience for new, existing and visiting players.”
